Post-doctoral fellowship offer - digital health

The Research Chair in Innovative Nursing Practices of the Faculty of Nursing at the Université de Montréal has for a mission to contribute to the advancement of knowledge on innovative practices and to develop effective intervention models in the field of nursing care. The chairholder is José Côté, PhD. RN, full professor at the Faculty of Nursing of the Université de Montréal and regular researcher at the CHUM Research Centre.
 

Among the innovative practices that are the focus of the Chair are the TAVIE interventions. These interventions, facilitated by a virtual nurse, aim to support people living with chronic health problems in the self-management of their health condition. TAVIE interventions have been evaluated in various clinical settings among different clienteles. The next step in the research program is to implement and make accessible some of TAVIE for professionals and patients.

 

Description

Under the supervision of the chairholder, the postdoctoral fellow will collaborate on the projects of the Research Chair in Innovative Nursing Practices in the domain of digital health and its deployment. One of the main activities of this postdoctoral fellowship will be to contribute to the implementation and transfer activities of TAVIE interventions in various settings. The fellow will participate in all research activities, such as literature reviews, writing research protocols, writing scientific articles, and participating in scientific and professional communications. Nonscientific implementation activities will aim, for example, to promote the engagement of various stakeholders in in the process of integrating TAVIE interventions, and to develop strategies to promote the appropriation of TAVIE interventions based on the barriers identified in previous work.
 

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) (or in the process of obtaining one) in a health-related field (e.g., nursing, public health, or other).
  • Relevant experience in health care services research, digital health, or other related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork.  Professional and intellectual rigor.  Good organizational and writing skills.
  • Dynamism, creativity, autonomy.
  • Knowledge of the health network, hospital environment (an asset).
     

Conditions

  • Full time; one (1) year contract with possibility of renewal.
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Quebec or hold a visa allowing them to study in Quebec.
  • Start date: Fall 2021.  Training allowance: in the form of a funding from the Research Chair.
  • Location: CHUM Research Centre, 850 St-Denis Street, Montreal, Quebec H2X 0A9 or remotely.
